Shop stock: count once before the software
Count the shelves before you type stock into software. Otherwise the screen copies the old notebook, including the mistakes. Sales then push the error further away.
One afternoon of counting
- One person calls the item, another writes. The same person doing both skips rows.
- Write the items that do not sell. If you skip them, the software thinks they are not there.
- Damaged and expired goods get their own column. They are not sellable stock.
- Stop receiving goods while you count, or the number keeps moving.
Then load the list into Suchok. Sales reduce stock. Receipts increase it. The 99 orders at Haji Goribullah Enterprise are one customer’s orders, not a stock figure for every shop.
Count again one day a month. When the screen and the shelf disagree, write the reason: breakage, a draw, a bad entry. Changing the number without a reason opens the same gap next month.
