College management: admission, fees, results

A school register is class and section. A college register is session, subject, and more than one paper for the same student. Software that only understands “class one” breaks the admission list when a college is forced into that shape.

Protiva keeps three templates: a training centre’s batches, a college’s sessions and subjects, and a school’s classes and sections. Kamarpukur Degree College in Saidpur has 401 students. The three institutions together have 1,338. The other two are NCEC with 355 and Tulshiram Govt Girls High School with 582.

Admission

Name, guardian, phone, and session, once. Subjects are added after that. A new session does not mean deleting the person and opening a new book. Fees and results stay on the session they belong to.

Fees

Session fee, monthly tuition, and exam fee are separate lines. Mixed into one line, “who still owes for August” cannot be answered. That is the question the college office actually asks.

Results

Marks once, by paper. The software can calculate the grade only if the grade rule was entered first. A number without a rule does not become a grade.

Protiva’s published prices are Free 0, Pro 499, Pro Plus 999, Ultra 1,999 BDT/month. See pricing. The school side is a separate note: school management software.
